Your Southwest Florida Weekend Guide: October 23–25, 2026

Your weekend, at a glance

This Southwest Florida weekend guide pairs Ave Maria University’s listed events for October 23–25 with flexible outing ideas across the region. Saturday’s home volleyball match is an option to check first; Friday brings an Athletics Hall of Fame dinner, and Sunday has a Marian Prayer Group gathering. Confirm visitor eligibility and any admission requirements before making plans.

Prefer an unscheduled day? Consider Naples for a dining-centered outing, Marco Island for a coastal escape, Bonita Springs or Estero for lunch and browsing, or Fort Myers for an evening out. Those are itinerary suggestions—not confirmed event listings.

Ave Maria: three calendar listings to check

The Ave Maria University events calendar lists the following weekend activities. It does not establish public access, ticket prices or registration requirements in the available details, so check with the organizer before heading over.

Friday: Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Dinner

• Date: Friday, October 23, 2026
• Listed time: 5:30–9 p.m.
• Location: Student Union Ballroom

For anyone connected to university athletics, this is a listing worth investigating. Treat it as a planned-ahead possibility rather than a drop-in dinner: confirm whether you can attend and whether tickets or an invitation are required.

Saturday: home volleyball against Warner

• Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026
• Listed time: 2–4 p.m.
• Location: Field House Courts

This gives a sports-focused Saturday a clear starting point. If spectator access works for your group, plan lunch beforehand or a meal afterward rather than squeezing both around the match. The calendar’s time window is a planning reference, not a guarantee of the final whistle.

Sunday: Marian Prayer Group

• Date: Sunday, October 25, 2026
• Listed time: 6:30–9 p.m.
• Location: Academic Building 1001 — Demetree Lecture Hall

For a faith-centered close to the weekend, ask the organizer about participation and visitor access before attending.

Prefer to keep things informal? Build a meal and a Town Center stroll into your Ave Maria outing. Separately, the town’s event-calendar snapshot returned “No event found.” That is not proof that nothing is happening; it simply does not provide another verified listing for this roundup.

Naples and Marco Island: choose your coastal pace

Naples: make the meal the main event

A Naples day out does not need a packed schedule. Choose a restaurant first, then add browsing or a walk nearby once you have checked the location and conditions.

For a date, leave room between daytime exploring and dinner. For a family outing, prioritize a meal everyone will enjoy and keep the extra stop optional. The goal is an afternoon that feels like a break, not a sequence of appointments.

Marco Island: leave room to linger

Consider Marco Island when your group wants a coastal outing with fewer moving parts. Choose your beach access or waterfront destination before leaving, and verify access information, parking arrangements and conditions directly.

Bring water and sun protection, and keep an indoor alternative in mind. A coastal plan works better when the outdoor portion is flexible rather than the only reason for the trip.

Bonita Springs and Estero: lunch, browsing and flexibility

For a group with different interests, a meal-and-shopping plan can be easier to coordinate than a fixed event. Pick either Bonita Springs or Estero as your main destination, then choose stops close enough together to avoid unnecessary backtracking.

A simple structure:

• Agree on lunch before deciding on extra stops.
• Choose one browsing destination rather than several scattered ones.
• Check business hours directly before departure.
• Leave the final stop optional, especially with children.

This is also a useful format when you want an indoor alternative to an outdoor day. No particular sale, market or scheduled entertainment is confirmed here.

Fort Myers: build an evening around one reservation

For a Fort Myers evening, start with dinner and add another activity only after checking its current schedule. If a performance or live-music listing catches your eye, verify it with the venue rather than assuming a recurring program is happening.

Keep the dinner location and any second stop reasonably close together. Before committing, make sure the timing leaves space for the drive, arrival and an unhurried meal.

Make the ride part of the plan

AVE RIDES PRO TIP Choose your main destination and return pickup location before you leave. If your group plans to drink, arrange a sober ride home in advance.

Across Southwest Florida, one well-chosen destination can make for a better day than trying to cover several cities. Check event access, business hours and outdoor conditions directly, then share the plan with everyone traveling.
